  10. Bugs fixed in PT2.3A Final

  12. Mountlist in PLST is fixed. Before it asked for disks in all drives even if
  13. you didn't have extradrives.

  15. Helpfile fixed. In the betaversion the jumptable was corrupt.
  16.  
  17. Pointer color was green after succesful saving. This one is fixed now.
  18.  
  19. In the betaversion you couldn't exit POS-ed with ESC.

  21. PT shouldn't quit with ESC. This is fixed now. Use Alt+Q (This one has been
  22. there all the time) or click in the top-left corner to quit.

  24. There was a bug in the Entry jump routine (Shift+Desired character) in
  25. Disk.op, PLST and PresetED. If you had directories in the current path
  26. PT jumped to the first DIRECTORY starting with the desired character instead
  27. of searching for the first FILE beginning with that character.

  29. Some minor bugs fixed as well.

  31. There is a lock function which was implemented in PT2.2A, but never
  32. explained in the helpfiles. Here we go:
  33. If you type lock, PT will ask you to type a password (max 8 chars) and press
  34. return. If you write the maximum 8 chars, you don't have to press return.
  35. PT will now be locked until you type the password again. If a song was
  36. playing when you typed lock then it will continue to play until you type
  37. the password and stop the song or someone turns the power off! Remember
  38. your password!
  39. Note: this can be used against you. Always save your work before you visit
  40.       the toilet or your little brother might lock PT and your module never
  41.       gets saved. (I take no responsibility for your little brothers actions)

  46. Bugs fixed in PT2.2A Beta:

  49. I have fixed the chip-mem bug from PT2.1A. (it didn't work with chip-mem only)

  51. When Preset-ed screen was shown,you couldn't use the gadgets on the lower
  52. part of the main- or sample-screen.

  54. When autoexitdirtoggle was off, PT didn't change the songname when you loaded
  55. a new song/module until you exit from disk op.

  57. If you resampled a sample with big difference between the tunetone and the
  58. resampletone then the new length was incorrectly computed.

  60. If you ran out of memory when allocating crunchbuffersize then ... software
  61. failure! This should work just fine now.

  63. If you loaded a sample with a '.' in the samplename then PT set the length
  64. incorrectly in some cases (see below)

  99. I have on request from Sun/Dreamdealers implemented a chord maker.
  100. Just press chord in edit op. 3 and you will see a new window for making chords.

  103. The gadgets:

  107. will make the chord, using the current sample and the notes chosen, and the
  108. chord will be put in the current sample or a free sample,depending on your
  109. choice (see below)

  112. will reset the notes and the length

  114. * Undo
  115. will undo the last change. (apart from multiple arrow up/down)
  116.

  118. will set the length to the maximum value, depending on the length of the
  119. original sample and the notes you choose.This will ofcourse set the ':'
  120. after the 4 lengthdigits (see below)
  121. Holding the right mousebutton will set the length to the minimum depending
  122. on the notes chosen. '.' will be shown after the 4 digits. Mixing with the
  123. minimum length will make the sample as long as the shortest sample of the 4
  124. resampled notes.

  127. will set a major chord, depending on the basenote.

  172. This version of PT resets repeat and replen. PT also puts a '!' last in the
  173. samplename to show you that this is a chord sample.The '!' is for you to see
  174. where the destination-sample has gone,it has nothing to do with the program.
  175. You can take the '!' away and rename the sample to ...-major , ...-minor etc

  180. The chosen option on the statusline in edit op. 3 ,H(alve) or C(lip)
  181. will affect the chord resampling and mixing!

  189. Press 'POS' on the mainscreen to get to the Position-Editor.
  190. All the gadgets should be well known, pressing the big gadget at the
  191. top will stop the song. Keyboard input works too,Left Alt,Left Amiga,space
  192. and the cursor up/down arrows.You can use the Position,pattern and length
  193. gadgets on the main screen, or click in the list to alter the current
  194. pattern or to enter a name to each pattern if you'd like to.
  195. The Patternnames will be loaded/saved if you have the corresponding toggles
  196. ON (load names,save names). The files will have the mod. exchanged to mod!
  197. just to distuingish them from the real modules. The patternnames will be
  198. cleared if you choose clear song or clear all.Another way is to click on
  199. each name you'd like to clear and then press the right mouse button.
  200. Patternplay works a little different from in the mainscreen.The pattern
  201. shown on the edit-row(the current position) will be played instead of the
  202. pattern currently shown in the notedatawindow.

  204. HEY! The patternnames has no effect on the module, they are just to remind
  205. the musician of the contents of the patterns, eg. you can name the first
  206. three patterns to INTRO just to remind yourself that those three patterns
  207. are the intro to your tune!

  214. On request, I have made ''multitasking'' like in PT1.3. I am not sure if
  215. this works correctly, but i have tested it a lot without trouble.

  219. ProTracker has it's own screen. When the PT screen is in front of all other
  220. screens, PT will wake up.

  223. The browse function is modified to act like PT1.3. It shows the current
  224. devices and disknames.
  225. If you hold the right mousebutton while pressing the browse gadget a disklist
  226. will pop up showing all the device- and disknames from the browsegadget in the
  227. filenamewindow. Pressing a name will autoload that directory. If there are
  228. more than eight entries, just use the arrow up/down keys or the up/down
  229. gadgets.

  232. If you press LeftShift+any key 0-9 a-z while in DiskOp,
  233. PLST or PresetEd, PT will move you to the position in the list with a name
  234. beginning with the corresponding character.If not found you will end up in
  235. the end of the list.

  238. If you use MIDI I've added two new keys. A-2 and B-2 on the Synthkeyboard
  239. are used as SampleNumber Up/Down! I have also Transposed the MIDInotes input
  240. one octave down (because one of my friends had a small keyboard and couldn't
  241. access the upper octave,C#3 - B-3).

  244. On request from 'The green Lark/Aliens' I have added a SaveExecutable option.
  245. Hold the right mousebutton while pressing save module. This will remove
  246. 'mod.' from the filename and add '.exe', and save the file in the current
  247. modules-dir. This won't crunch the module though.
